The Coastal S.E.E. Lab pursues research that assesses how and why coastal animals respond to environmental change. Specifically, we link sensory biology and behavior to broader ecological questions. Our favorite animals to study are the larvae of coastal invertebrates, like crabs, shrimp, and oysters. We use both field and lab techniques, which provide flexible opportunities for student engagement.
